Who is Osho?
Osho was one of the most famous and controversial spiritual leaders of all time. He is renowned for his quick wit, his insightful spiritual teachings, and his controversial attitude towards sexuality, institutionalized religion and money.
He is known to some as the ‘Rich Man’s Guru’ due to his love for “the good things in life”. This included a collection of over 90 Rolls Royces.
He came to be known as ‘Acharya Rajneesh’ in 1960s, before taking on the name ‘Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh’ during the 1970s and 1980s. He then called himself ‘Osho’ in 1989.
Osho was a professor of Philosophy and traveled extensively to various parts of India, giving lectures on Secularism and Gandhi. He founder the Osho International Meditation Center, devised a number of meditation techniques and published numerous influential books.
