Yogic Life Science – 8 Week Course

A Journey Through the Eight Limbs of Yoga.

We all know yoga makes us feel good. But once we leave our mat, we often loose connection with the positive feelings yoga brings us. The stresses of everyday life start to bring down our mood once again.

So how can we carry these feelings of positivity beyond the yoga mat?

This course will help you understand the science behind the yogic lifestyle. It will teach you how to use the techniques we tap into in a yoga class and integrate them into your every day life.

This will give you will the tools to significantly improve your quality of life, your connection with your loved ones and your work.

This course will provide an insight into the traditional yogic lifestyle, integrated with a modern understanding of brain science and physiology. It will be a practical approach, however will draw on yogic philosophy to help integrate concepts into our lives.

It is designed for yoga practitioners who are serious about integrating the yogic lifestyle into their day to day activities.

In this course you will study:
– Yama and Niyama (internal and external guidelines)
– Philosophy of Asana (how to hold the self with comfort and stability)
– Pranayama (the life force which connects us to the universe)
– Pratyahara (understanding the food of the mind)
– Dharana (focusing the mind on your goals)
– Dhyana (meditation)
– Samadhi (the ultimate goal of yoga)

Reading material will be provided upon registration of the course.

You will receive a certificate upon completion of the course to acknowledge your participation.

The course will be guided by Ama Aghora. Ama comes from Sri Lanka, and has over 20 years of yoga teaching experience. He was trained in Hatha Yoga at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in India. He also holds a PhD in Alternative Medicine and a Bachelor Degree in Naturopathy and Yogic Science. He is the owner and head teacher at Yoga Life and resides in Warragul with his family.
